Aerospace and Defense

Aerospace and defense production are "bread and butter" industries for King-Tek EDM. Over the past 10 years, we have made everything from Turbine engine components, hydraulic sleeves, actuator valves, and fuel injector units to door hinges and latches. We have even fabricated prototype wings, elevons and ventral fins for an unmanned plane! King-Tek is an approved vendor for most the major aerospace companies including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Parker Hannifin and HR Textron to name just a few.

Surgical Instruments

Surgical instruments require an attention to detail that need specialized machining and inspection equipment as well as know-how only learned from years of experience.

Pictured here are micro-keritome blades used for eye surgeries. Each blade is 100% inspected for defects and dimensional tolerance that must be held within .0002" using state of the art video inspection equipment. Then the blades are sent through a 3-step cleaning process to remove any stains and residue, and are then re-inspected for any defects.

Tooling

King-Tek was founded in 1981 by Steve King, an expert tool maker to service the tool & die industries' new-found need for wire EDM. Soon the injection-mold industries discovered the advantages of EDM, so King-Tek quickly learned how to service the mold makers. Today, King-Tek builds complex assembly tools, specialty gages as well as complete plastic injection molds for a variety of industries and applications. 28 years of experience assures our customers that they can trust their tooling projects to King-Tek to get the job done right and on time.
